Elder Law is the specialty of law that focuses on both the legal needs of senior citizens and their families. Elder law may involve the preparation of wills, financial powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, living wills, trusts, guardianships. Elder law can also involve planning for Medicaid, Medicare, probate, Veterans benefits, estate administration and life care planning.
Overall, elder law takes into consideration short and long-term planning for health care, financial security, and family dynamics regarding the elderly person.
